Road Closure for Repairs – 1800 Block of Johnston Street – April 29, 2021

Road Closure Notification

In order to perform sewer gravity main repairs in the area, the 1800 block of Johnston Street in Brunswick, between I and H Street, will be closed to thru traffic. The road closure will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 29 and last until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2021. Homeowner access will be maintained but all other traffic should be prepared to take another route.

As a function of routine maintenance funded by our operational budget, this replacement of a section of collapsing 8″ vitrified clay pipe is critical to avoid the potential for sewer service backups and sinkholes in the roadway.
