Effective immediately, as of 8:50 AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, all required microbiological testing of water samples from the area affected by the boil water advisory issued for the Wymberly Road area of St Simons Island on Monday, August 10, 2020 have passed. DRINKING WATER WARNING BOIL YOUR WATER FOR THREE MINUTES BEFORE USING The St Simons Island water system lost pressure on the system serving Menendez Avenue to Wymberly Road and neighboring streets due to a materials failure of a 2″ PVC fitting. Once service has been restored, BGJWSC lab personnel will collect water samples for testing.
