Draft Industrial Wastewater Permit Issued to Quaker City Plating
The Brunswick-Glynn Joint Water & Sewer Commission has issued a Draft Industrial Wastewater Permit (IWP) to one (1) local industry, pursuant to City of Brunswick & Glynn County Sewer Use Ordinance at Chapter 2-16-41, Article III, of the City of Brunswick & Article III, Section 22-41of of Glynn County Ordinances.
Draft IWP was issued to Quaker City Plating, 2573 Sidney Lanier Drive, Brunswick, GA 31525. This industry discharges process wastewater to the Academy Creek wastewater collection system. The Brunswick-Glynn Joint Water & Sewer Commission Wastewater Department determined that the industry met the criteria of Categorical Industrial User (CIU), as defined by the City of Brunswick & Glynn County Use Ordinance. The draft IWP contain discharge limitations consistent with Brunswick-Glynn Ordinances and/or State and Federal industrial pretreatment categorical standards. Each permit is for a five (5) year period. The industry has been provided thirty (30) days to comment on the Draft IWP. After receipt of comments, the Brunswick-Glynn Joint Water & Sewer Commission Wastewater Department will finalize each permit and issue it as a Final Permit to the industry.
Copies of the permits are available to be viewed by the public at the main office of the Brunswick-Glynn Joint Water & Sewer Commission, 1703 Gloucester Street, Brunswick, GA 31520. The permits will be available for public review and comment between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM, Monday through Friday, until June 24, 2016.
