Effective immediately, as of 5:08 pm Wednesday, February 28, 2024, all required microbiological testing of water samples from the area affected by the boil water advisory issued for Demere Landing, George Lotson Ave, and Salt Air Drive on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, has passed. Results have been verified by our state-licensed technician within a certified laboratory environment.
This notification is an ALL-CLEAR and water used for drinking will no longer need to be boiled.

To address a stormwater utility conflict in the area, water service on Harrington Lane will be intermittently disrupted beginning at 9:00 am this morning, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, while staff reroutes a distribution main. Service will be restored as quickly as possible. No boil water advisory is expected due to the use of controlled shutdown procedures.

Full Water Pressure Restored for Residents of Glynn Haven, SSI – February 12, 2024
Effective immediately, as of 7:50 PM on Monday, February 12, 2024, full water pressure has been restored for residents of Glynn Haven neighborhood on St. Simons Island. BGJWSC staff repaired a main break caused by a contractor severing the pipe. As water pressure was maintained during the repair according to established guidelines, water does not need to be boiled and meets safe drinking water standards.
