Emergency Water Outage – Herrington Ln/North Herrington Rd on Saint Simons Island – Tuesday, February 13, 2024

Attention Emergency Road Closure Notification To address a stormwater utility conflict in the area, water service on Harrington Lane will be intermittently disrupted beginning at 9:00 am this morning, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, while staff reroutes a distribution main. Service will be restored as quickly as possible.  No boil water advisory is expected due to the use of controlled shutdown procedures. The BGJWSC apologizes in advance for the inconvenience.

Full Water Pressure Restored for Residents of Glynn Haven, SSI – February 12, 2024

Effective immediately, as of 7:50 PM on Monday, February 12, 2024, full water pressure has been restored for residents of Glynn Haven neighborhood on St. Simons Island. BGJWSC staff repaired a main break caused by a contractor severing the pipe. As water pressure was maintained during the repair according to established guidelines, water does not need to be boiled and meets safe drinking water standards.
