To accommodate infrastructure development in the north end of Glynn County, utility construction efforts will be underway on Canal Road between Hwy 25 and Old Jesup Rd from today until mid to late September. Local traffic to homes and businesses will be coordinated but access will be limited to other thru-traffic. Early last week, Sapelo Farms offered to host a public meeting at their facility to discuss the project. Invitation was extended to all homeowners within the project area....

Attention Road Closure Notification In order to perform sewer main repairs in the area, the 1100 block of George Lotson on St. Simons Island, between Cummings Ln and Johnson Rd, will be closed to thru traffic from 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Sea Island Road Closure Regarding Lift Station 2030 Upgrade, Force Main Improvements and Water Main Extension

Sections of Sea Island Road will be closed to thru traffic beginning February 4th, 2016 through no later than February 22nd, 2016. Monday, April 20th, 2015, the JWSC entered into a contract with Popco, Inc. out of Albany, Georgia for improvements to Sanitary Sewer Basin 2030 and a needed Water Main Extension in the Sea Island Road area of St. Simons Island.
