Hydrants Being Tested This Week by JWSC Contractor

Please don’t be alarmed if you spot a crew with DMD Consultants on their vehicles or uniforms exercising hydrants near you this week. In an effort to be proactive and determine maintenance priorities for our vital fire suppression distribution network, DMD will be performing manufacturer recommended inspections on 160 hydrants this week. BGJWSC 2018-2019 Federal Furlough Relief Program

Effective January 24, 2019, BGJWSC account holders that can display an official and current Federal government ID will be cutoff exempt and late fee exempt until 30 days following the official reopen date as approved by the Congress. Customers will need to visit the customer service office at 1703 Gloucester St and complete a form for the offer to apply. DRINKING WATER WARNING BOIL YOUR WATER FOR THREE MINUTES BEFORE USING The St. Simons Island water system lost pressure to residences within The Island Club at Retreat on Thursday, November 1, 2018 due to emergency repairs to a hydrant in the area. Hurricane Michael Support Provided by Local Partners

We were very fortunate to have not seen much local impact from Hurricane Michael this past week.
