The Glynn County Grand Jury is accepting letter applications through January 21, 2020 from persons interested in being appointed to the Brunswick-Glynn County Joint Water and Sewer Commission to serve the remainder of the term occupied by elected Commissioner Steve Copeland who is resigning. Precautionary Boil Water Advisory – 2100 & 2200 block of Gordon Street – Tuesday, November 12, 2019

DRINKING WATER WARNING BOIL YOUR WATER FOR THREE MINUTES BEFORE USING The Brunswick water system lost pressure on the system serving the 2100 & 2200 block of Gordon Street and 1800 K Street due to contractor hitting a 2″ PVC main while digging.  Service has now been restored and BGJWSC lab personnel have collected water samples for testing. Deputy Executive Director Andrew Burroughs Selected to Lead as Executive Director

During the public meeting of the BGJWSC Board of Commissioners on Thursday, November 7, Andrew Burroughs was offered the opportunity by unanimous vote to be contracted to serve as Executive Director, an offer he immediately accepted. Mr. Burroughs relocated to Glynn County in September 2017 to serve as the Deputy Executive Director for the JWSC. Effective immediately, as of 10:40 AM on Friday, September 13, 2019, all required microbiological testing of water samples from the area affected by the boil water advisory issued for Center Drive in Brunswick on Thursday, September 12, 2019 have passed.
