In Memoriam – Dana Whitmore

It’s with a heavy heart that we make you aware that one of our highly valued customer service employees, Dana Whitmore, passed away Wednesday morning, August 29, 2018. Dana had served the community with us over four years and was loved by both our customers and our staff. We believe that you couldn’t find a sweeter, kinder and big-hearted lady anywhere. She loved her job and always looked forward to helping our customers. She always had a smile on her face. Days where others might have suffered under a mountain of stress seemed to never bring her down. She will be deeply missed by those that had the blessing of building a relationship with her.

For the last month or so, she had been battling problems with her kidneys and her pancreas. After being admitted to the hospital August 2nd, it was discovered that Dana had passed a stone into her pancreas and medical staff couldn’t get her overwhelmed body to calm down enough so they could remove it. There were too many complications. Family and friends assembled quickly by her side to share their love and their memories of life with Dana. We are comforted to know that her husband, Bill, and her sister, Mary, were with her when she passed.

Please keep Bill and the family in your prayers as they go through this difficult time.

If you would like to attend visitation to pay respects and show love to the family, the visitation will be held at Edo Miller Funeral Home Friday night, August 31, from 6:00 to 8:00 with a service at Edo Miller Saturday afternoon, September 1, at 4:00.
