The Brunswick – Glynn County Joint Water & Sewer Commission will be hosting a public meeting on March 3rd 2016 at 1 PM to present and discuss the BGJWSC Systems Master Plan Update. The original master plan was completed in 2009. A Master Plan should be updated every 5 years to account for changing priorities, completed projects, and to update the impact of development and the need for growth and expansion of the water and sewer systems. This presentation will define both rehabilitation capital improvements to provide a proposed plan for needed repair & replacement and expansion capital improvements to address necessary upgrades, extensions, or capacity increases for anticipated development.
This presentation is important to the water and sewer infrastructure and is to formulate a short and long range blueprint on maintaining these complex systems. The proposed master plan will also set up a funding path to manage long range budgets by.
The Commission, staff, and public input are encouraged during this meeting.
