Intermittent Water Pressure – Sections of Mallery Street on SSI – December 1, 2022
In order to facilitate the repair of a fitting on a 10″ Transite water main, BGJWSC staff will isolate the distribution system on Mallery Street serving all customers north Kings Way and south of Harbour Oaks Drive and adjacent streets on St. Simons Island at or about 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Water service will be intermittent or unavailable until staff has completed the repair.
Once service has been restored, a precautionary boil water advisory is not expected as procedures are being taken for a controlled shutdown of the system in accordance with state and Federal guidelines.
