BGJWSC 2018-2019 Federal Furlough Relief Program

Effective January 24, 2019, BGJWSC account holders that can display an official and current Federal government ID will be cutoff exempt and late fee exempt until 30 days following the official reopen date as approved by the Congress. Customers will need to visit the customer service office at 1703 Gloucester St and complete a form for the offer to apply. The cutoff process will be placed on hold until Tuesday, January 29th, to provide time for our Federal customers to come see us.

Any customer that had already been approved for a payment plan and had kept the terms of the plan prior to the start of the Federal furlough on December 22, 2018 will also quality for the program. Those that had not kept the terms of the payment plan up to that date must pay any past due amount to catch that payment plan up prior to qualification.

Any balance due 30 calendar days after the official reopen of government would then be paid to avoid putting the customer at risk of disconnection.
